Violette & Jordan is the meeting of two passionate artists:
Violette Lapierre, a singer, pianist, and songwriter from Sherbrooke, and Jordan Officer, a Montréal-based guitarist and singer-songwriter renowned for his distinctive style.
Violette has made her mark on the Québec music scene with her band LaViolette, while also collaborating with numerous folk-pop-indie artists. Her talent has been recognized with several awards and grants.
Jordan first gained international recognition alongside jazz singer Susie Arioli, touring worldwide and selling over 250,000 albums. He also leads an award-winning solo career, widely praised for his guitar virtuosity.
The duo was formed following a spontaneous musical encounter in Tadoussac. Their artistic chemistry emerged naturally, driven by the harmony of their voices and musical worlds.
Their sound blends folk, jazz, blues, and pop, with songs in both English and French. Their voices intertwine over finely crafted arrangements where acoustic and electric guitar, piano, and Wurlitzer interact with subtlety and nuance.
The project launched in fall 2024 with concerts in Sherbrooke and Montréal. A first single was released in October 2024, with a full-length album scheduled for 2026. Canadian and European tours are also in the works.
